Danish second-tier side AC Horsens have signed talented Liberty Professionals midfielder Joseph Mensah on a two-year deal, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The 19-year-old twinkle-toed teenager bewitched Horsens head coach new coach Bo Henriksen during his one-week trial and was handed a deal which will expire in the summer of 2016.
He spent the second half of last season on loan at Czech side Slavia Prague where he made only one appearance and refused a permanent deal.
Mensah sees Horsens as a place to refine his talent for the big leagues abroad.
ââ¬ÅAC Horsens is a good team with experienced and talented players who have welcomed me, and here I get a good platform for my development,â⬠he said.
ââ¬ÅThere is a great team, great atmosphere and a great motivation in the squad, and I like the coaches.
ââ¬ÅI am a fast player who like to work on the fields, and I'm offensive but also disciplined.ââ¬
Horsnes, who finished fifth last season and have targeted promotion this term, believe they have landed one of the most exciting players in the world.
ââ¬ÅWe have signed a contract with Joseph, because he is an exciting player who has convinced us of his qualities through a successful trial,â⬠Horsens CEO Henrik Ravn said.
ââ¬ÅThere is no doubt that he will need some time to settle, and we must be patient with him, but he's going to make a difference in the long run.
ââ¬ÅHe is a member of Ghanaââ¬â¢s U20 team, and we look forward to helping him fulfill his potential.ââ¬
