EXCLUSIVE: Patrick Twumasi joins Hannover 96 on a three-year deal

Ghana midfielder Patrick Twumasi has completed his move to Bundesliga side Hannover 96, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

The Black Stars winger joins the Bundesliga II side on a three-year deal from Spanish club Deportivo Alaves after a successful medical on Thursday.

A statement from the club to confirm the signing read “The Ghanaian Patrick Twumasi is moving from the Spanish LaLiga club Deportivo Alaves to Hannover 96. The 26-year-old attacking player signed a contract until 2023 today".

Twumasi left  Deportivo Alaves to join Turkish club Gaziantep FK on a season-long loan last season.

The 26-year-old managed to clock 26 appearances, scoring six goals and provided five assists as the Falcons finished 8th on the league standings.

The former Astana player expressed his delight after completing a dream move to play in Germany.

"I'm really happy to be here. I've always dreamed of playing in Germany and I'm happy to be part of Hannover 96 now. Hello 96 fans of Hannover I am really happy to be here, Patrick Twumasi and i cant wait to see you".

Sporting Director for Hannover 96 Gerhard Zuber said, "With Patrick Twumasi we get a very variable offensive player. He can play on both wing positions, but also as a central striker. Patrick is fast, technically adept and has always had excellent scorer scores in his previous positions."

Twumasi has capped three times for Ghana's Black Stars.
