EXCLUSIVE: Raddy Ovouka free to leave Hearts of Oak under contractual buy-out clauses

Published on: 21 July 2021

Hearts of Oak star and Congo national team left-back Raddy Ovouka has a buy-out clause in his contract which can see him leave for free, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively report.

Despite reports that the newly crowned Ghana Premier League champions  have rejected advances from a club in France, GHANAsoccernet.com can report that Ovouka’s contract contains clauses allowing him to leave the club if an offer of $375,000 is made.

Furthermore, Ghana's leading football portal, GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal that  Ovouka’s contract permits him to leave in the event that an offer for a free loan with a buy option of $450,000 is submitted.

This would mean that if the rumoured bids are to be believed, Ovouka would in fact be free to enter talks with the clubs interested in acquiring his services.

The Congo international has come on in leaps and bounds this season in his 24 league appearances.

He has one goal to his credit and arguably the best left back in the Ghana Premier League.

But the club have remained tight-lipped about his suitors.

Ovouka's performance in the Ghana top-flight earned him plaudits from Ghana internationals Christian Atsu and Mubarak Wakaso.

The exploits of the highly-rated left-back in the Premier League caught the attention of Congo national team handlers who handed him a call-up for their Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Senegal in March.
