Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah has entered contract discussions with Italian Serie A side Sampdoria, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively report.

Asamoah is currently a free agent after he was released by Inter Milan this summer.

The 31-year-old was not short of suitors during the summer transfer window as clubs such as Olympique Marseille, Crotone, Reading made a serious attempts to snap him up.

According to reports reaching GHANASoccernet.com, Asamoah could remain in the Italian top-flight after Sampdoria opened talks with him over possible transfer.

The former Juventus player is asking for €1 million a season to move to Liguria, where he could team up with former Inter colleague Antonio Candreva.
