EXCLUSIVE: Serie A newcomers Spezia Calcio agree personal terms with Godfred Donsah

Newly-promoted Serie A side Spezia Calcio have agreed personal terms with Godfred Donsah and must now reach an agreement with Bologna to sign the Ghana midfielder, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively report.

The midfielder spent last season on loan at Belgian Jupilar Pro League outfit Cercle Brugge.

The 24-year-old appears not to be in the plans of coach Sinisa Mihajlovic ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.

Donsah has been linked with several clubs in the ongoing transfer market including Cagliari and Spal.

News reaching GHANASoccernet.com suggest that Parma were keen to acquire him this summer but the deal fell through at the last minute after the Gialloblu failed to agree a transfer fee with Bologna.

The Ghanaian could however secure a move away from the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara after newly-promoted Spezia Calcio expressed interest in signing him.

The player has agreed terms with the Eagles and now waiting on Bologna to accept their offer before putting pen to paper.

Donsah has a contract with the Rossoblù until 2022.

He made 19 appearances for Cercle Brugge before the campaign was cancelled due to the coronavirus crisis.
