Spanish second-tier side Albecete have inquired about the availability of midfielder Emmanuel Lomotey from relegated Extremadura, GHANASoccernet.com can confirm.
The Segunda Division side are seeking to sign the Ghana youth international on loan for the 2020/2021 season.
But they face stiff competition from Hungarian side Fehervar who will be playing in the Europa League next season.
Lomotey gave a good account of himself last term when he made 21 league appearances and scored one goal.
He is reported to have caught the eyes of Portuguese side Sporting Braga, French Ligue 1 side Metz as well as Union Berlin in Germany.
Lomotey's contract with Extremadura runs until 2023.
