Porto goalkeeper and Spanish national football team, Iker Casillas, could be a target for New York City in Major League Soccer (MLS), which plays compatriot David Villa. The US team would be interested in strengthening their squad after a disappointing season in MLS last season. The interests are on the exguardameta of Real Madrid, that would join the club that already belong players like Frank Lampard English, Italian Andrea Pirlo and the Guaje. Although the goalkeeper has a contract with Porto until 2017, ESPN FC sources claim that New York City is exploring options to convince Casillas to leave Europe and to sign as soon as possible. Thus, the MLS would be the finishing touch for the race Iker Casillas, who won five league titles and three Champions League with Real Madrid in his 500 appearances for the Bernabeu, and two European Championships captaining the Spanish selection and first World 'La Roja' in 2010.
