Former Ghana U17 defender Najeeb Yakubu has completed a move to Ukrainian top flight side FC Vorskla Poltava, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively report.
Yakubu joins the Oleksiy Butovsky Vorskla Stadium outfit on a three-year deal after undergoing a successful medical on Monday.
The 18-year-old, who made five appearances for the Ghana U17 side at the 2017 FIFA juvenile tournament in India, left Ghanaian lower-tier outfit UniStar Academy after his contract expired last season.
He was linked with a host top European clubs following his display at the biennial tournament in India, but has opted to join the Green and White lads to continue his sturdy development.
He is expected to mark his debut for Vasyl Sachko's side when the Ukrainian Premier League resumes after the international break.
FC Vorskla Poltava are sitting 7th on the league standings with 9 points in seven games.
