Yeni Malatyaspor coach İrfan Buz has confirmed that the club is close to reaching an agreement with Sparta Prague for Ghanaian forward Benjamin Tetteh.
The 24-year-old had an impressive season with the Turkish side in the 2020/21 season scoring five goals in 32 appearances as he joined the club on a season-long loan.
Tetteh has returned to his parent club after the loan deal with a move back to Turkey imminent.
Coach İrfan Buz wants the Ghanaian in his squad for next season after his loan spell expired at the end of the season.
Yeni Malatyaspor may have captured the signature of the former Dreams FC striker permanently.
According to the coach, a deal is likely to be made by the close of this week.
"We have an ex-player we talked to about the striker. I hope it will be completely over this week. We can say this clearly and clearly about Benjamin Tetteh".
"There are also players we are talking to for right-back and midfield. We also look at young signings. We try to win them. They are among them. We want to recruit players who have reached the level of playing in the Super League, regardless of age, if any.", Irfan Buz said in an interview.
"Everything is going well. We have two transfers. We think they are very important transfers. We are happy that we have brought very character and important players to our team. Our transfer efforts also continue. Our fans are waiting, of course, we are the same. Our transfer committee, us, and our president are really good at this.
"We work very hard. Transfers are not very easy and we have to make the right transfers. That's why there may be problems from time to time about the process, but I hope 3-4 football players will join us next week".
"It is also very important for the technical man. You have to prepare your system physically. It is very difficult. A league is waiting for us. That's why we'll lay the foundation here and get a good start, God willing."
