EXCLUSIVE: Yusif Abubakar set for Hearts return

Published on: 29 May 2016

A grapevine source close to the management of Accra Hearts of Oak has exclusively disclosed to GHANAsoccernet.com that beleaguered Techiman City trainer Yusif Abubakar is set to return to the club to succeed Japanese trainer Kenichi Yatsuhashi as the head coach.

The source further revealed that Yusif Abubakar has verbally agreed to take over the technical direction of the club when the league was ten matches old.

The management of the capital club is believed to be in consistent altercation with the Japanese trainer who has refused attending technical and management meetings.

The former Heart of Lions coach was not on the bench for the Techiman-based side in their 4-2 thrashing by Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

His absence on the bench of the newly promoted side has fueled widespread reports that he will be joining the Phobians soon.

Yusif Abubakar will officially sign for the Phobians in the coming days as he looks set to take the club for the second round of matches.
