Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Henry Asante Twum has hinted that the Executive Council members are focused on improving Ghana football despite Black Stars' failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

Following the senior national team's failure to secure a spot in the tournament that is scheduled to be hosted in Morocco next year, the Executive Council members have come under intense pressure.

Majority of football enthusiasts have called for their resignation after the Black Stars' horrendous performances in the recently concluded qualifiers.

However, Asante Twum speaking in an interview with Joy Sports hinted that the Executive Council members have no plans to resign.

According to him, they are focused and are bent on improving football in the country.

"None of the Executive Council members have whispered to me any plans of resignation after Black Stars' failure," he said.

"They are highly focused on improving Ghana football," Asante Twum added.

Ghana finished at the bottom of Group F with three points after six games in the qualifiers. The Black Stars recorded three draws and three defeats.

It is the first time in two decades that the Black Stars will not feature in the AFCON tournament.
