'Expensive' Derrick Luckassen leaves Belgium giants Anderlecht

Dutch born Ghanaian defender Derrick Luckassen has left Belgium giants RSC Anderlecht following the end of his loan stint with the club.

The 24-year old's departure comes after the Jupiler Pro League heavyweights failed to make his loan deal a permanent one, because they could not reach his 5 million Euro asking price by PSV.

Luckassen joined Anderlecht last summer after struggles to cement a place in PSV Eindhoven's starting team.

Meanwhile, his future with the Eredivisie giants remains uncertain after stating in April he is unsure of returning to PSV.

"I keep all options open to myself, except going back to PSV. That is no longer an option for me," Luckassen told De Telgraaf early April . "I tried it there twice and it didn't work out. I don't feel at home with PSV and I have seen it there."

The AZ Alkmaar academy product made 18 appearances for Anderlecht before the Belgium topflight league was cancelled following the outbreak of the coronavirus.
