Newly-signed Hearts of Oak defender Nuru Sulley is unfazed by the competition at the club, insisting that he will break into the starting eleven.

Sulley penned a two-year deal with the Phobians some weeks ago after undergoing a successful medical test.

The centre-back left the Accra-based giants in 2014 to join El-Nasr Benghazi in Libya after making 20 appearance and scoring three goals in a period of three years.

He is expected to use his experience to solidify the team's defensive frailties as they chase their first trophy in over ten years.

During an interview with FOX FM, Sulley claimed he is confident of securing a starting berth at the club.

"Yes indeed I have just appended my signature for Hearts of Oak, originally I was suppose to sign for the team in the first round but I was in talks with a foreign club. However the deal hit a snag," Sulley told FOX FM.

"I know I can break into the defence of the team. Even when I was an unknown personality, I managed to break into the squad despite the quality defenders at the disposal of the team then, the same applies to my days at the Black Stars B team.

"Even my stint at Alanyaspor in Turkey, we had quality defenders like Kenneth Omeruo, Abdulai Ba formally of FC Porto and some top defenders yet I became a regular in the set up.

He returned to Ghana last year after failing to extend his contract with Iraqi side Naft Al-Junoob SC.
