John Ansah, the current vice-chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), is the front-runner for the upcoming chairmanship election, slated for January 21.
With three terms as an executive member of GHALCA, Ansah is committed to leading the association into a more prosperous future through ethical governance and unity.
“My vision is to build a better future for all members, by promoting responsible leadership, transparency, and integrity,” Ansah stated, emphasising his focus on club welfare and fostering cooperation across the association. His agenda includes prioritizing the needs of clubs and transforming GHALCA into an inclusive, just, and prosperous body.
Ansah is vying to replace outgoing chairman Kudjoe Fianoo, who has held the position for years. The election will see 134 members vote, with 36 from the Premier League, 48 from Division One, 30 from the Regional Football Associations (RFAs), and 20 from the Women’s Premier League.
Among the contenders is Isaac Wilberforce Koomson, who is making his third attempt after two previous losses to Fianoo in 2016 and 2020.
