Ghanaian forward Kwame Kizito has been ruled out for the rest of the season after picking up an injury in Falkenberg FF's game against his former club BK Hacken.

The ex-Hearts of Oak attacker tore his cruciate ligament in the 69th minute and had to be replaced by Nsima Peter.

Kizito had a successful scan today, but unfortunately MR images showed that the 23-year-old has suffered both a cross-band and meniscus injury.

Club Doctor, Sverker Nilsson, confirmed the striker will be out for the rest of the campaign.

"He injured the front cruciate ligament and meniscus on the outside of the knee. Now surgery is first awaited and then rehabilitation for eight to twelve months. Unfortunately, Kwame Kizito misses the rest of the season. He is sad and does not want to speak in the media," said Sverker Nilsson.

The former Hearts of Oak striker joined Falkenberg during the winter transfer window and was making his debut last night.

The game ended 1-1, but Kizito's injury was the highlight of the match.
