Famalicão ace Lawrence Ofori has expressed his admiration for former Barcelona midfield duo Andrés Iniesta and Xavi Hernández, describing them as his main references.
The youngster joined the Portuguese Liga Pro side from Ghana Premier League outfit WAFA SC on a four-year deal in 2019.
He is seen as a potential difference-maker due to his very individual skill set.
The 21-year-old was hosted in a program called Love where he highlighted intensity, intelligence, shooting and passing ability as the strengths of his game.
Ofori ended the interview by claiming that his game is referenced on former Barcelona midfield pair Xavi and Iniesta.
“I really like Iniesta and Xavi. They’re marvelous to watch especially with the ball at their feet. I try as much as I can to watch videos of them,” Ofori said.
“I reference my game on those two players.”
Xavi and Iniesta were the fulcrum of Barcelona when they ruled La Liga and Europe for several years.
