Fans of Asante Kotoko want the club to sign Inter Allies forward Victorien Adebayor

Fans of Asante Kotoko are putting pressure on management of the club to sign Inter Allies forward Victorien Adebayor.

The Nigerien import has been outstanding since joining the Tema based club, and on Wednesday in the friendly against the Porcupine Warriors, he showed glimpses of quality.

Asante Kotoko defeated Inter Allies 3-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium but the WAFU star was sensational for the "eleven is to one" boys despite the defeat.

After the game, fans of the Kumasi based club chanted and sung praises of the 22 year old, calling for him to join the club in Kumasi.

"Adebay, Kumasi! Adebayor, Kumasi!," they shout at the parking lot of the Accra Sports Stadium.

Meanwhile, Adebayor has also attracted interest from Kotoko's fierce rivals Hearts of Oak.

Asante Kotoko have been preparing for the CAF Confederations Cup, where they will be facing Kenyan side Kariobangi Sharks in the 1/16th stage.

The team left Accra for Aburi after the game to continue camping before the friendly encounter with the Black Meteors on Sunday.
