Far East a threat to Europe\'s top leagues?

Published on: 05 February 2016

The past 10 days have seen clubs in the Chinese Super League splash out £25m on Chelsea midfielder Ramires, £31m on Atletico Madrid striker Jackson Martinez and £38m on Liverpool target Alex Teixeira.

Arsene Wenger believes the spending power of clubs in the Far East could be a concern and increase the cost of players around the world. Wenger commented that "China looks to have the financial power to move the whole league of Europe to China" and says that the Premier League must continue to bring in new talent if it doesn't want to fall behind.
