Osei Kuffour will be the worse Kotoko CEO if the direction of the club remains the same. He has a positive mindset and I like his optimism but ...... I think Kuffour is not at the right club. Yes. If things will continue the way they are, then he is at the wrong club.

Take it from Sylvester Asare Owusu's first tenure till date and tell me what has changed. ... nothing!

Truth be told.  The club is in #cultural #handcuffs.

Yes, Kotoko has been in traditional prison for far too long.

Just read the following extract from Sarfo Gyamfi's interview picked from ghanasoccernet.com and peacefmonline .com:

“…Kuffuor is talking too much, what if Nana changes his mind of the decision to make him the new head of the club? We don’t do that, it is untraditional.”

Look at the last word 'untraditional'.

That is why the former Bayern Star will suffer. Sure he will!

Anything one says or writes or or or is linked to tradition and that ends it.

I remember on one of my television analysis I said Otumfuo should set parameters for whoever becomes the head of the club and the host quickly jumped in and said, "Please stop. U can't advice Nana."

I was stunned not because he stopped me, but the scary way he said it really took me aback.

Silvio Berlusconi, Fiorentino Perez, Moise Katumbi and and and all take suggestions to move their businesses forward. Why not Kotoko?

Please let's save Asante Kotoko from this traditional prison.

Now, if Nana wants Prez Kuffour to succeed, then there must be targets for him to achieve.

For instance, Kuffour is given the team for five years. He is tasked to win two Caf Champions League trophies, one Confederations Cupt trophy, three league trophies, register a well recognised supporter base of not less than two million, set up a transport system for the club, establish a microfinace for the club and all others should be bonuses.

He is then given a seed money which will be declared before he begins operation so that whatever comes and goes out of the club will be transparently accountable.

When this is done, Prez Kuffour will then be able to choose his own people who he thinks can help achieve these targets.

If at the end of the day, it is not achieved, then we know Kuffour failed.

If this is not done, we shall have the replica of the Herbert Mensahs, K.K. Sarpongs, Opoku Ntis, Yaw Larsens, etcs.

Kotoko must be saved from the cultural handcuffs which have succeeded in taken the club to traditional prisons.

I wish Sammy Kuffour all the best.

God bless Ghana Football.
