Ghanaian footballer Sherifatu Sumaila says female athletes also qualify to be good wives at home.
The Black Queens striker in a post on his page said female athletes should be accepted and loved by all men as they possess special qualities, unlike non-female athletes.
She said that the perception that female athletes are not 'sexy' because of their physique should be disregarded.
The former Black Princesses player touted their virtues of patience, understanding and love.
The Sweden-based striker urged men to look beyond their appearance and focus on their âstrong heart’.
"Female athletes are the best wives. We are trolled for having firm bodies. We have strong hearts, can endure anything that comes our way, are patient and understanding.
"Don’t be prejudiced against us. Love us for who we are. We are strong women"
Sherifatu was part of Ghana's 2018 Africa Women's Cup of Nations squad.
