Ferencvaros star Marcel Heister claims Ronaldo REJECTED his offer to swap shirts

Ferencvaros midfielder Marcel Heister has claimed he offered to swap shirts with Cristiano Ronaldo but was turned down by the Juventus star following their Champions League clash earlier this month.

Ronaldo played the full 90 minutes as Andrea Pirlo's side ran out 4-1 winners in Hungary on November 4 and set up the second goal of Alvaro Morata's double.

But the 35-year-old failed to score himself, with Paulo Dybala's strike and Lasha Dvali putting the ball into his own net proving to be the other goals of the night.

And Heister believes Ronaldo's failure to score against his side in the Group G fixture may have been behind the discernible frustration etched on his face after the final whistle.

'He [Ronaldo] seemed to me to be a bit p***** off and angry,' the German defender told Goal and SPOX.

'He just waved off disparagingly when asked about [swapping] his shirt. Maybe it's because he didn't score a goal against us.

'Or maybe because I took the ball from him when he tried to dribble. There was a photograph of it, I posted it on Instagram. It was the most beautiful experience of my life!'

Ronaldo also came in for further criticism from an unsatisfied Pirlo after the win, claiming his forwards could have killed off the game earlier had they been 'less egotistical'.

The Portugal international however is not the only household name that Heister -  who is currently preparing for a trip to the Allianz Stadium on Tuesday - has faced in Europe's elite competition this season.

The 28-year-old and his Ferencvaros team-mates were beaten 5-1 by Lionel Messi's Barcelona on matchday one, but despite the defeat he revealed his delight at facing the Argentine and Ousmane Dembele, having only previously seen them on video games.

'I was totally excited and couldn't wait until we finally got into this huge stadium on matchday. Suddenly, I was standing there next to the stars I always play with on FIFA on the Playstation,' Heister added.

'I remember once watching Messi talking to Dembele and falling into a kind of daydream! Other people would do anything to be close to Messi or Ronaldo.

'And I stood with them in the square and had to make sure they don't give me a Panna! I am totally happy to be part of all this.'

Asked if he attempted to get Messi's shirt after the game, the Ferencvaros midfielder stated: 'I would have liked to have had it but since it was clear that everyone wanted it, I wisely held back completely.

'He signalled to the others that he would hand it over in the tunnel but then he disappeared straight away.'
