Ghana midfielder Michael Essien has reunited with his former Chelsea team-mate Fernando Torres at AC Milan after Spanish international completed a two-year loan move to the club.

Chelsea have confirmed the move that has ended a three season spell at the club after joining for a British transfer record of £50m in 2011.

Torres, 30, joined Essien at the Stamford and the duo play for the Blues for the three seasons and will now play at the same club for the next two seasons.

The ex-Liverpool and Atletico Madrid striker scored just 20 goals in 110 league appearances during his spell at Stamford Bridge, but was part of the club's 2012 Champions League success.
