The Black Princesses are on the verge of elimination at the FIFA U20 Women's World Cup finals after conceded late to draw 2-2 with France in their second Group C match on Thursday.

Clara Mateo snatched the equalizer in injury time with a blistering header to steal a point for the European side.

France took the lead on 38 minutes when through Delphine Cascarino but Sandra Owusu Ansah finished off a through pass in the 44th minute.

Striker Janet Ayieyam gave the Princesses the lead after 65 minutes when she put in her foot to toe-poke into the net after some lack defending by France in front of their area.

Ghana could have made it 3-1 but Samira AbdulRahman failed to convert a penalty when she feebly shot into the path of Mylene Chavas who parried away.

But France did not give up and kept on piling pressure until a decent cross was met by Mateo in the air and zoomed into the net.
