A big fight for the signature of Ghana’s Andre ‘Dede’ Ayew has erupted after Marseille claimed they have reached a new three-year deal with the midfielder.

This comes just hours after German side Stuttgart claimed to have agreed personal terms with the mercurial player.

The website of Provence newspaper announced that the two players Andre Ayew and Burkinabe Charles Kabore are about to sign their new contract with the club Phocaean.

Marseille are said to have quadrupled Ayew’s wages in the wake of the report from Germany to force the youngster to stay.

Ayew refused to comment when contacted by Ghanasoccernet over the issue insisting he will makes a statement after an official statement from Marseille comes out on his club future.

Marseille coach Didier Deschamps vowed last week that the son of football legend Abedi Pele is central to his plans for next season.

But in a shocking move, Ayew who excelled for his country at the World Cup in South Africa last month, is reported to have agreed personal terms with Stuttgart.

"He agreed to join us,” the German club's sporting director Jochen Schneider told the German newspaper Bild when asked about Ayew’s move.

The youngster is said to be unhappy over the treatment meted out to him by Marseille last season as he considers the decision to send him out on loan to Arles Avignon as a demotion.

But after impressing at the World Cup, African Cup of Nations and leading his country’s U20 World Cup team to the title, his market valuation has increased tremendously.

Stuttgart are keen to sign Ayew replace midfielder Sami Khedira who has joined Spanish giants Real Madrid.
