Ghanaian players enjoyed a drought weekend as none of them was able to find the net abroad. 

Chelsea got back to their winning ways after beating Fulham 2-0 at the Stamford Bridge.

Michael Essien watched the entire game from the Chelsea bench.

Ian Holloway did not consider Hiram Boateng in his Crystal Palace team as they lost 2-0 to Swansea City.

In the Npower Championship, youngster Koby Arthur did not play for Birmingham City who hammered Sheffield Wednesday 4-1.

German-born Jeffrey Schulpp came off the bench in the 65th minute to play for Leicester City in their 2-2 draw with Blackpool.

Albert Adomah was replaced in the 90th minute by Middlesbrough who drew 3-3 with AFC Bournemouth. Birmingham finished the game with ten men.

Club Brugge applied the brakes on Anderlecht after demolishing them 4-0 to move second on the table.

Winger Frank Acheampong played full throttle for Anderlecht and was booked in the 50th minute.

Former Ghana U17 midfielder Enock Adu-Kofi was introduced by Brugge in the last two minutes of the game.

Standard Liege perpetuated their unstoppable run in the league after beating Lokeren 2-1.

Daniel Opare set up the match winner for the Liege in the 45th minute of the first half.

Haminu Dramani watched from the stands as his Gil Vicente side failed to beat Olhanense, drawing 1-1.

David Addy was sent off in the 61st minute after picking a second consecutive booking as Benfica SL beat his Vitória Guimarães 1-0.

RUSSIA

Spartak Moscow returned to the summit of the Russian Premier League after beating CSKA Moscow in a derby clash on Saturday.
