Finnish top-flight side Ilves have announced the signing of Ghanaian teenager Eric Oteng.

The former Right to Dream and Nordsjaelland left winger impressed on trial and has been handed a two-year contract with an option for one more year.

The 19-year-old last played in the Danish U19 League.

"I'm really happy to be qualified to this great club. My dream of a professional footballer came true when I played at the Right to Dream Academy in my home country.

''I stated that I had not only the right to dream, but also the opportunity to develop into a good football player. The transfer to Denmark was an important next step, as was the transfer to Ilves,'' Oteng said.

''My strengths are speed, both with and without the ball. I can very well challenge opponents with a ball. I also consider myself a good team player, I always give my all in front of the team.

''I’ve been really well received, I felt like I was part of the team right from the start. We have really great young players, all of whom want to develop into better and better players and help Ilves succeed as a team. Chances are we no matter how high. I think I can help Ilve this season and be one of the key players on the team.''

The Finnish Veikkausliiga starts next month April.
