Fiorentina are back in the hunt for Real Valladolid defender Mohammed Salisu.

That is a according to a report in calcioomercato, who says the Viola are in the market for a new centre back this summer and the Ghanaian fits the profile.

The Italian side are back in the hunt for the 21-year-old after they cooled off their interest two months ago.

However, they could face fresh competition from England with Manchester United, Arsenal, West Ham, Southampton and Newcastle United also joining the race to sign the Real Valladolid defender.

They are further joined by Napoli and Atletico Madrid in the pursuit of Salisu, who reportedly has a €12 million release clause.

A product of the Valladolid youth academy, Salisu has emerged as one of the rising stars in La Liga this season after being promoted to the senior side last summer. He has been an ever-present figure in the Valladolid backline, notching up 31 league appearances.
