Fiorentina will not exercise their right to sign on-loan Borussia Dortmund winger Jakub Blaszczykowski and will send him back to the German club at the end of the season.
The Poland international looked a promising signing in the summer, however, a series of underwhelming performances and injuries have seen him replaced by the likes of Federico Bernardeschi and Cristian Tello.
Reports from Polish site SportoweFakty suggest that Fiorentina are less than willing to take up their option to make the loan permanent, following the poor displays.
However, nothing is yet set in stone, meaning Blaszczykowski will have to step up in his performances between now and the end of the season should he wish to extend his stay in Serie A.
Blaszczykowski has recorded two goals and two assists in 16 appearances throughout all competitions for the Viola.
