First Lady of Lagos state urges Super Falcons to beat Ghana in second leg of  2022 AWCON qualifier

The First Lady of Lagos State, Dr (Mrs) Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu urged the Super Falcons of Nigeria to secure passage to the next round of the 2022  Africa Women's Cup of Nations qualifier against Ghana's Black Queens.

The Super Falcons defeated Ghana 2-0 in the first leg on Wednesday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena.

Dr Sanwo-Olu paid the team a visit during their training session on Friday morning and has called for support for the team as they face the Black Queens in the second leg encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

“I am here to commend you for the victory over the Black Queens in the first leg and to assure you of support for the second leg match coming up in Accra on Sunday. I have the belief that you will make Nigeria proud”

The Super Falcons team arrived in Ghana on Saturday via a chartered flight.

The team trained at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday per the kick-off time for the game on Sunday as stipulated by the regulations.
