Asante Kotoko defender Gideon Baah has vowed to displace Arsenal-target Baba Abdul Rahman from the left-back position.

The former Sporting Mirren FC captain made a full return for the Porcupine Warriors in the MTN FA Cup win over Sekondi Hasaacas last weekend.

Baba Rahman, 18, has been impressive at the left-back role attracting attention to his play.

Baah says he is ready to contest for his place in the team.

"It is hard to describe how frustrating it has been for me," he told the 90 Minutes newspaper.

"All I have been thinking in the past few weeks is fight for my place in the first team and I know I am getting closer all the time."

Baah spent close to two-years on the sidelines after breaking his leg during a league match against rivals Asante Kotoko at home.
