Fitness instructor 'extraordinaire' Leonard Akoto launches "The Leonardo Foundation"

Ghanaian Fitness Instructor Leonard Akoto has launched a foundation at Adjiriganor in Accra, with aim of providing the launchpad for talented but underprivileged young footballers to make it to the highest stage.

The former Asante Kotoko physical trainer affectionately called Mr Fitness launched The Leonardo Foundation at a short ceremony in the nation's capital in the conspicuous presence of traditional rulers, former footballers among a host of high profile dignitaries.

Launching the foundation, the highly regarded physical trainer intimated the vision and mission of his outfit is to provide opportunities for all young and aspiring football talents to enable them realise their dreams.

"My foundation will contribute to build and develop talents from the grassroots. The Leonard Foundation believes in Nurturing Talents so therefore giving the opportunity to young ones is the key to finding more talents.

Another aim of the foundation is to support the poor and needy.

Leonard Akoto serves as a personal trainer for both former Ghana Black Stars skipper Stephen Appiah, Prince Tagoe among a pool of top-notch Ghanaian footballers.

His exploits has seen him travel to Dubai, Nigeria, South Africa among other countries.
