Five things you may not know about CD Mirandes

    CD Mirandes were founded on 3 May 1927 in the town of Miranda de Ebro, in the region of Castilla y Leon in Northern Spain.
    Players and fans of CD Mirandes are known as ‘Jabatos’ (young wild boars) after the animal common to the region.
    Mirandes coach Borja Jimenez, who took the helm in 2018, will be the youngest in LaLiga 1l2l3 aged only 34.
    Mirandes are about to start their sixth season in LaLiga 1l2l3 after last playing in the second tier for five seasons between 2012 and 2017.
    While still in Segunda B (third tier) in 2011/2012, Mirandes went on a giant-killing run to the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey, beating LaLiga Santander sides Villarreal CF, Racing Santander and RCD Espanyol before falling to Athletic Club.
