FLAMENGO, Gabigol: "I hope Inter Milan are appraising me"

Published on: 05 August 2019

Turning 23 on August 30, Brazilian winger/forward Gabigol, still on a loan-spell deal with Flamengo until the end of 2019, told Spectacular Sports: "I wanted to play for this club since ever. My pro debut was against them, in Brasilia, when I was 16. My future? A lot of people bashed me when I left Santos. But my deal with Peixe was over, and they didn't offer me to extend. Then I didn't get a lot of chances, both from Inter Milan and Benfica. But I hope Inter are still appraising me. Now I'm enjoying my Flamengo stay, but I'm still young, and I think I can still play my cards right in order to get back to European football". Gabigol is still on a parent-club deal with Neroazzurri until June 2022.
