Flamengo are hopeful of finalising a deal for Inter striker Gabriel 'Gabigol' Barbosa by Tuesday according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio.
As per the report, which appeared on Di Marzio's eponymous website, Flamengo's vice president Marcos Braz arrived in Italy earlier on today ahead of talks with Inter management.
The Rio de Janeiro based club are prepared to table an offer of €18 million for the 23-year-old striker and will give Inter a clause which entitles them to 20% of any future sale.
Gabigol, who joined Inter from Santos back in the Summer of 2016, spent all of 2019 out on loan at Flamengo in what proved to be a highly successful loan spell both for the player and the team.
Gabigol made 58 appearances across all competitions during his time with the club, in which he scored 43 goals and provided 13 assists. During his time with Flamengo, they won the Brazilian Serie A title and Copa Libertadores.
