Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini hailed the impressive 3-0 Champions League victory over Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday night.

The French midfielder started the game for the Gunners in place of his injured compatriot Francis Coquelin and was a key member of Arsene Wenger's outfit who produced the victory required to keep their European hopes alive.

After the win, he said: "I think it was a great result today. We played well. It was important for us and for the fans also, to get back [in contention] in the Champions League. So congratulations to the guys.

"We know it's not going to be easy but we are ready for these kind of games. Now we're going to recover, because we gave a lot today. We played a good game and we have time to think about Olympiacos."

The Gunners will face Olympiakos in Athens on December 9, requiring nothing less than a win to qualify for the Round of 16.
