Football activities set to resume in Tunisia after sports minister's approval

Tunisia's minister of youth and sports Ahmed Gaaloul on Wednesday paved way for the return of sports competitions in the country.

Sporting activities were put on hold as a preventive measure against the widespread of the global pandemic coronavirus.

The minister said that training for sports teams should resume from 24 May 2020.

Regarding matches, they can take place at the end of June or at the beginning of July.

However, strict rules must be observed by each federation according to the initial guidelines prepared in coordination with the services of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Therefore, the Tunisian Ligue 1 and all other football competitions are set to resume latest in July.
