Ghanaian midfielder Shawkan Mohammed has signed a three-year deal with Tunisian club Club Africain, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm
The 21-year-old joins the Red and White lads on a free transfer after ending his stay at Ghana Premier League side Accra Lions FC.
Mohammed was a key player for Lions, making 68 appearances and scoring one goal across three seasons after joining from lower-tier side Koowa Naso FC in September 2021.
He was reportedly offered a contract extension by the club but opted to move abroad.
This is a big move for Mohammed, who is seen as a highly-rated prospect in Ghana.
He is expected to add depth to Africain's midfield and help them challenge the Tunisian Ligue 1 title and a return to the CAF Champions League.
Mohammed trained with the first team for the very first time on Wednesday after sealing his transfer.
Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko SC were keen on landing the highly-rated midfielder, but Mohammed had other options.
