Opoku joined Alger in April 2021 after an impressive spell at the Porcupine Warriors.

He had a decent outing in the first season where he managed 4 goals and 4 assists in 16 matches after joining the club halfway through the campaign.

In the just ended 2021-22 season, Opoku netted just a goal and set up two others in 17 games in the Algerian Ligue 1.

The former Nkoranza Warriors marksman has joined the rest of the team who are presently at a pre-season camp preparing ahead of the 2022-23 football season.

Najran will open their Saudi First Division account on August 22, 2022 when they welcome Ohod Club in the opening day.

He went ahead to feature again for the Black Stars in an international friendly match against Cote d'Ivoire and a World Cup qualification game against South Africa.
