Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Sulley Muniru joins Belarusian top-flight side FC Minsk

Ghanaian midfielder Sulley Ali Muniru has completed a move to Belarusian top-flight side FC Minsk on a short-term contract, the club have announced.

Muniru is joining Minsk on a free transfer for a period of ten months with an option to extend afterwards.

The 28-year-old parted ways with Asante Kotoko SC about a month ago by mutual termination.

He joined the Ghanaian giants in November 2020 on a two-year contract making five appearances in all competitions before leaving the club.

Muniru has previously Romanian top division sides CFR Cluj and Steaua Bucharest and Portuguese side CD Tondela.

He also had spells at Yeni Malatyaspor in Turkey and Russian side PFK Tambov.

This is Muniru's second time in the Belarus top-flight as he played for Dinamo Minsk from February 2019 to July 2019.
