Former Berekum Chelsea defender Wilson Akakpo scored the opening goal for Al Masry in their 3-1 triumph over Asyouty Sport in the Egyptian Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

The enterprising 21-year-old center-back nodded home a header in the 14th minute to shoot Masry ahead at the Ismaïlia Stadium.

Ahmed Raouf netted a brace to ensure Masry maintain their 2-0 advantage despite Ghanaian midfielder Edward Tomas scoring a consolation goal for the host.

Akakpo was playing his first game for Masry in the Egyptian Premier League.
