Ghanaian defender Edward Kpodo has signed a short-term contract for Armenian giants FC Shirak, Africanfootball.com has reported.

The former Berekum Chelsea centre-back moved from Finnish side FC Shinnik where he spent just one season.

Kpodo, 24, will get to play in the qualifiers of this season’s Uefa Europa League.

FC Shirak will face FC Shakhter Karagandy from Kazakhstan on 3 July.
