Former Dutch U19 striker Elvis Manu yearns for Ghana switch

Dutch-born prospect Elvis Manu is convinced about representing Ghana as a senior international.

The 20-year-old striker has been grabbing the headlines in the Eredivisie after scoring five goals for Cambuur where he is on loan.

Manu was born in Dordrecht and has featured for the Dutch U19 side.

But the Feyenoord Rotterdam-owned player now wants to switch allegiance.

“I want to play for Ghana and I am hoping for an invitation from Ghana,” Manu told AD on Tuesday.

“It has always been my dream to defend the colours of Ghana as I feel Ghanaian.”

If his nationality switch is ratified, he will follow in the footsteps of Quincy Owusu-Abeyie.
