Former Chairman of the Ghana Football Association, Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe has expressed disappointment and wants the ongoing Zylofon Cash Premier League suspended after watching the sports expose by controversial investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

In the Number 12 exposé premiered on Wednesday, GFA officials and referees were caught taking money –including some collecting as little as GH¢ 200 ($42)- to influence the outcome of games. It's worth noting this was done on the blind side of the clubs.

“The league they are playing now must be suspended, it should be totally suspended…All referees caught on the tape must be fired immediately. They should have nothing to do with football not even for toddlers,” an enraged Nyaho-Tamakloe said on Joy FM.

According to the board member of Hearts of Oak, his proposed sanctions will enable a reconstitution of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and allow reforms which will benefit fans.
