Former coach of Ghana's national team, Avram Grant, has been speaking about the importance of social responsibility by companies.
Avram Grant has been involved in philanthropic works since leaving his managerial role at Indian outfit NorthEast United.
The former Chelsea manager during one of his engagements on social responsibility in the Philippines revealed the act of giving back to society as a company is not for the faint hearted.
Although he encourages the role as an important part of corporations, he says a well-developed plan and process can make it a success.
“Corporations wanting to do something for society are thrilled at the mere mention of this word while completely ignoring what the word ‘responsibility’ entails," he said as quoted by PhilStar.
“Even the smallest of steps taken to become socially responsible require a tech-driven approach, and such an approach comes with its fair share of costs and expenses.”
