Former Ghana President John Mahama has congratulated Hasaacas Ladies for making the country proud by reaching the CAF Women's Champions League final.

"Sending a message of congratulations to the playing body and management of Hasaacas Ladies FC for their qualification to the final of the CAF Women’s Champions League. That was an emphatic win over ASFAR of Morocco," Mr Mahama shared on social media.

The Ghanaian champions beat ASFAR 2-1 on Monday afternoon in Cairo.

Doris Boaduwaa opened the scoring for the Ghanaian side before Najat Badri scores the equalizer for the Moroccan side.

Evelyn Badu converted Doris Boaduwaa's cross into the back of the net with a powerful header to make it two.

They will face Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa in Friday's final.

Hasaacas Ladies are seeking to end the year with four trophies, having already captured the Women’s Premier League, FA Cup and WAFU Zone B championship.
