Former Ghana international Jeffery Schlupp has vowed to do everything possible to repay manager Brendon Rodgers for the faith reposed in him after switching to Celtic.

The 32-year-old versatile Ghanaian player signed a deal to join the Scottish giants on loan till the end of the season from Crystal Palace.

The former Leicester City marksman, who joined Celtic on transfer deadline day is expected to play a huge role for the club as they battle to defend the Premier League title and also make impact in Europe.

However, Schlupp, who has played nearly 250 games for Crystal Palace and earned 20 caps for Ghana has promised to work tirelessly to repay his new manager.

“I know players who have worked under the manager and they’ve always said the same thing – great coach, great guy and if you work hard for him he’ll be great for you.

“So that’s what I’m planning to do. I want to repay him for the faith he has in bringing me here, and hopefully I can do that with some good performances and hopefully we, as a squad, can achieve some great things.”

With Celtic aiming to defend their Scottish Premiership title and continue their European campaign, Schlupp’s arrival provides added strength and quality to Rodgers’ squad.
