Defender Godwin Quashiga has joined Ghana Premier League side Kpando Heart of Lions as a free agent, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

The 19-year-old whose short spell at Hearts of Oak was marred by a horrible knee injury has returned from South Africa to sign a two-year-contract for the Giant Killers.

Quashiga was on a season-long contract with South African Vodacom side Highland Park FC and after seeing out the contract has joined Lions.

He joins a couple of former local stars who have joined the former Ghana Top Four winners to relaunch their career.

Former Kotoko skipper Edmund Owusu-Ansah is also in talks with Lions officials to join as well as Daniel Yeboah who is capped by Ghana.
