Former Hearts of Oak player Isaac Mensah rewards club captain Fatawu Mohammed

Hearts of Oak captain Fatawu Mohammed has been rewarded for his outstanding leadership role as the club close in on the Ghana Premier League title. 

The Phobians are one win away from winning their first league title in 12 years, and they can win it on Sunday as they host struggling Liberty Professionals at the Accra Sports Stadium in a local derby.

Ahead of the match, Fatawu has received a customised football boot from the club's former player Isaac Mensah.

“Fatawu is my brother, I got him this customised boot because I believe in him soo much. I knew he would lead Accra Hearts of Oak to lift the Ghana Premier League trophy.

I’m happy for him and I’m confident that, Come Sunday Hearts of Oak will beat Liberty Professionals at the Accra sports stadium and lift the Ghana Premier league officially,” Isaac Mensah said.

Fatawu has been terrific form this season, racking up 24 appearances and contributed four assists.
