Former Hearts of Oak forward Karim Sadat has lamented over the lack of competitive football in Ghana.

The Halmstad BK striker believes the lack of domestic football will significantly affect the form of players, as well as take a financial toll on clubs that are spending to camp.

“I have friends in Ghana that play the league and they complain about how the inactivity of the league has affected them both financially and technically as football players,” he told footballmadeinghana.

“Players need matches to be able to get to the top. I recently heard there was a NC tournament but later canceled. This could have help the team because is almost seven months now without football.”

Sadat is also pleading with the authorities in charge of Ghana football to speed up the process of getting football back in the West African nation.

“I’m urging the authorities to speed up things for the immediate return of football in the Ghana,” he added.
