Ghanaian midfielder Samuel Bokoe has decided to represent Sierra Leone at international level after the West African country showed interest in him.

The former Inter Allies player, who currently plies his trade in Sierra Leone with FC Johansen opted to represent the Lone Stars at the Africa Cup of Nations next year.

Bekoe has been outstanding in the Sierra Leonean football league, but a chance to play for Ghana looks to be out of sight despite his exploits.

According to the Sierra Leone Football Association, Bekoe's switch is complete and the Ghana Football Association is aware of the move.

Samuel Bokoe played for Inter Allies during his time in Ghana.

He becomes the third Ghanaian player to make an international switch, after Jamal Arogo joined Liberia with Kennedy Boateng opting to represent Togo.
